KAILASANATHAR TEMPLE Kailasanathar temple is one of the oldest temples in Kanchipuram. Main deity Kailasanathar of this temple is Lord shiva in linga form. HISTORY OF KAILASANATHAR TEMPLE : The temple construction was stated in the year 685 AD by pallava king Rajashimha and completed around 705 AD. Still many devotees enter into the narrow passage behind the Shiva linga to get salvation.Devotees should enter form the left side of the passage and need to crawl around the passage and exits from right side.
