KAMBWILI UNDER CORRUPTION PROBE THE Anti Corruption Commission has summoned sports minister Chishimba Kambwili for questioning over abuse of authority of office. And Kambwili says he does not care even if President Michael Sata fires him because he has made his money. A cabinet minister, who sought anonymity, disclosed that Kambwili was summoned in relation to the Ministry of Youth and Sport advertisments which ran in the Zambia Daily Mail and Times of Zambia, congratulating him for acquiring a degree from Kitwes Copperstone University. He has been summoned by the ACC for questioning. As you know, Honourable Kambwili last year graduated from Copperstone University. And the ministry later published adverts congratulating him. This is what this questioning is in relation with. The ACC are trying to investigate allegations that he instructed the ministry to put the adverts in the newspapers, the source said. And the source said Kambwili was angry with State House press aide George Chellah, whom he says reported him to the ACC. He is very angry with Chellah. Somehow he is actually being unreasonable because he was complaining to us this morning (yesterday) that Chellah is trying to fight him, the source said. The source said Kambwili bragged that he had made enough money and did not care if the President decided to sack him. This morning before President Sata joined us for a Cabinet meeting, Honourable Kambwili was telling us that Chellah was behind his summon. He said Chellah instigated the ACC to investigate him. You know how Honourable Kambwili is, he started boasting to us before the Cabinet meeting that he is rich now and Chellah cannot fight him. He said even if the President fired him, he would not care because he has made his money now, the source said. The source said Kambwili further accused Chellah of working with Luanshya member of parliament Steven Chungu to bring him down.
