KARACHI: The Collector of MCC Appraisement-East, Najeeb Abbasi has reconstituted the Classification Committee, which comprises of representation from all the collectorates of Appraisement south. Sources said that the Committee will determine the actual classification of the goods, after examining the classification issues and disputes referred to by various collectorates. Additional Collector Appraisement East, Zeba Bashir Ahmed would be the Chairperson of the committee while other members include Additional Collector Appraisement East Mohammad Tahir, Additional Collector Port Qasim Irfan Javed, Additional Collector Appraisement West Ghulam nabi Kamboh, Assistant Collector Appraisement East Asim Rehman, Assistant Collector Appraisement East Qasim Khokhar, Principal Appraisers Javed Akhtar, Khalid Umer, Mir Mansoor and Shahida Tanveer of MCC Appraisement East. Sources said that all the members of Classification Committee were well reputed officers and it would help eliminate mis-classification and secure the national revenue. A notification to this effect would be issued soon.
