KASSON FESTIVAL IN THE PARK 2014 We had our biggest turnout ever for parades this year with over 70 supporters coming out to support our campaign and walk the parade with us!!! It was amazing....age 18 months to to 83 years old (the two oldest are 82 and 83) -- current deputys and family, sergeant and family, investigators and families, dispatchers, assistant county attorney, county emergency management and family, former Sheriffs office employees, former deputys and family, fireman, first responders, retired military, county administration representation, several medical professionals, foster mom, teacher, business owners, students, some cute kids, and a couple of puppies!! (Im sure Im missing some here!!) Weve had supporters walking in the parades from Kasson, Mantorville, Dodge Center, Claremont, Hayfield, and West Concord -- from all over the county!!! This is a great representation of the kind of support this campaign is building as we get closer and closer to election day!!! We had a huge week for web site activity, for likes, and for a ton of sign requests!! (which we are almost out of!) Just goes to show that this community wants a positive campaign that focuses on the issues and on solutions. As weve always said.....If you really want to get to know your candidates -- meet with the candidates, read their websites, read their facebook pages, look at their posts on the issues and future ideas and goals, look at their supporters, ask those that work with them, ask those that work along side them, ask the people here locally that have interacted with them and been helped by them. Thats where youll get the real answers. If youre going to make your decision on who to vote for Sheriff based on a complaint from one disgruntled person written by his friend who owns a small, quarterly, rural Wisconsin Hunting and Fishing magazine (which has nothing to do with Dodge County) -- youre probably not going to get the most accurate information if any! There are also Meet the Candidate forums being organized in each school district for this fall -- another great opportunity to hear what both sides have to offer. Well keep you posted on when these are scheduled and where. Many options out there to help you make an informed, educated decision on who you want to support! Thanks again to everyone that made today such a great day for this campaign!!!! Very humbling for sure!! Scott
