KBM is looking for a Solutions Architect in the Nashville area. Description of Position: • Provide technical expertise in developing hosting solutions that are practical, cost-effective, and ensure proper protection for the State and its information technology assets. These solutions must be in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures. • Research, plan, and develop all design documentation related to projects as assigned. Projects may be related to new applications, system migrations, and disaster recovery. • Candidates must have experience performing enterprise solution evaluations, documenting current state, future state, and performing gap analysis. • Candidates must have at least 5-10 years’ experience and working knowledge with each of the following areas: networking (firewalls, NAT, DNS, TCP/IP, subnets, vlans, load balancers) servers SANs (inc. replication) enterprise backup solutions relational database solutions security (network, server, application) disaster recovery design, support and/or implementation of enterprise applications system migrations and upgrades • Candidates should be proficient in using Windows XP or Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007 or above (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Visio. • Candidates must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff. • Candidates must have demonstrated leadership and time management abilities. • In-state travel may be required but will be compensated as per the State Travel Regulations. However, State transportation will not be provided. • Overtime may be deemed necessary by the Supervisor but must be approved beforehand.
