KCCA transfers teachers to eliminate ‘ghosts: #Kampala Capital City Authority will transfer up to 60 head teachers and 3,000 teachers in an ongoing exercise that officials say seeks to weed out non-existent employees. “There are 3,550 teachers serving in Kampala,” the KCCA human resources director, Ms Jennifer Kaggwa said, adding that many who were previously assigned by the central government to the capital are still on the payroll. Spokesman Peter Kaujju, said the transfers will also streamline the staffing and recruitment process, re-validating teachers’ payroll and setting uniform standards in all #KCCA primary schools.
