KDB DARUSSALAM & KDB DARULAMAN MAKE LAST PORT CALL TO GUAM PRIOR TO GOING HOME US NAVAL BASE, GUAM. Sunday, 17 Aug 2014 – Both RBN ships, KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB DARULAMAN, came alongside Apra Harbour, Guam, this morning for logistical replenishments prior to sailing back to Muara, upon completion of exercise RIMPAC, held in Hawaii and waters off the Hawaiian Islands late June and early August this year. The conclusion of the world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise has helped sustain the cooperative relationships between participants that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. The participation for the first time of RBN ships has boosted relations between Brunei, the US and other participants, and has also significantly improved interoperability between the navies. After much needed rest and recuperation, both KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB DARULAMAN will slip off on 19 August 2014 from Guam and are scheduled to arrive in Muara on 28 August 2014.
