This mother and daughter were stabbed to death Thursday evening in Ojo Encino, a small community in the Eastern Agency of the Navajo Nation. -An area where escalating violence is directly linked to a rapidly increasing presence of the fracking industry. Community members have been confirming that there has been an escalation of violence in this district in the past six months, since this oil boom comparable to the Bakken Fields began less than a year ago. In grief, elders from Eastern Agency expressed their distress last night when stating, something is wrong. Our women are being attacked.
