KEEP YOUR TESTIMONIES..... David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. 1Sam. 17:37 Wow! David killed Goliath! But friend do you know how long David had known he could kill a giant? He had father, brethren and friends but do you think they really thought he could do that? Of course not! Do you remember when the prophet Samuel was hosted in his father’s house to anoint a king and Jesse brought out ‘all’ his sons and David was not invited. A prophetic party in your house and your father, mother and brethren forgot you! Why was he not considered? Why was he forgotten to the backside of the desert? Yes they thought nothing of him. He was disqualified in their estimation……..if God is going to anoint a king, it can’t be David. Yes they limited and disregarded him because they did not know his testimony. Men may not remember you, call on you or invite you or think much of you but David knew himself what he could accomplish by God because he kept His testimonies before him always. David knew and believed in himself long before the opportunity arose to face Goliath. He knew if God by his hand can kill the lion and the bear it would never be a problem facing Goliath by the hand of the same God. Beloved if you will keep your testimonies, God will certainly make a way for you. Can you imagine, his father and his brethren forgot him, it took the prophet to ask, ‘Are these all your children?’ Beloved it doesn’t matter who has forgotten you or is not thinking much of you. God will certainly make a way for you. God commanded the Prophet not to sit but for all to stand still under David come. Wow! What an honour for a man of testimony. He could have been strolling and taken as much time as he wanted, they wouldn’t dare sit. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. 1Sam. 16:11 Beloved your testimony is your voice of distinction in the days of opportunities. I am very sure his father and brothers would have wondered…why is God doing this?......what kind of honour is this?…..why can’t we sit until he comes?..... Yes, have you not noticed that the natural mind always thinks…..this is a fluke….it’s just by chance…..So it became imperative to prove to his entire household and the entire nation that His anointing on David wasn’t a fluke. It was time for Goliath to die so God orchestrated the entire drama. And the only man who could take the challenge and seize the opportunity was David, the man of testimony. The king said to David…….you are young…you have no experience….Goliath is a champion …experienced in battle…..you are not able to…..(1Sam. 17:33) But David replied…..I am used to such limitation……I lived in it in my father’s house……but I have a testimony….the same God that did that for me will do this for me!(1Sam. 17:34-36) Beloved I will like you to keep your testimonies, write them down, meditate on them, celebrate them, for that is your voice of distinction in the days of glory and opportunity. Remain strong in Christ Jesus name.
