KEKO Says.....Well pretty exciting.....I just filed for a copyright on the very first song my daughter Sara and I wrote together.... called the Greatest Soldier That We Know..... a song about a friend of ours who has been fighting for 7 years with leukemia and just had a bone marrow transplant. We went and saw him yesterday in the hospital where he continues to live almost in seclusion...but seems to be doing okay. Please keep David in your prayers! Also submitted two other songs for copyright....Hanging By a Thread is also connected to our young cancer patient friend, but written by me and Daniel B. Marshall, and then the last song is a solo write called World Is On Fire, and it is about just what is going on in the world these days...and how we have to do something about it. Ricky and I played it last night at Two Henrys Brewing Company and it was well received....even a guy came up and commented on loving the song and what it is about.... its great when people are actually listening to the songs you write and can actually connect with them. Makes it all worthwhile! It was a great compliment when Daniel told this week how he loves how I write about what is real to me, about the things that I talk about and about things connected to me..... just trying to keep it real in my songwriting! I know Jeff Baker does the same in his writing! Anyway, that is all I have to say today! Smile, make a difference, go support live music. I am outta here. KEKO
