KENNEL CLUB HUNT, POINT AND RETRIEVE CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY - TopicsExpress

KENNEL CLUB HUNT, POINT AND RETRIEVE CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY CRITERIA The Kennel Club has announced the qualification criteria for its Hunt, Point and Retrieve (HPR) Championship, sponsored by Skinner’s pet foods, to be held at the Swinton Estate, North Yorkshire, on 15th and 16th November 2013. To qualify to compete in the event, dogs must have gained a 1st or 2nd place in an Open Hunt, Point and Retrieve Field Trial, and the qualifying award must have been gained in the two preceding seasons, which for the purposes of the HPR Championship means awards gained since 14th November 2011. It should be noted that dogs which hold the title of Field Trial Champion do not automatically qualify for entry and will still need to meet the qualification criteria. The championship, designed specifically to test the dogs’ quartering, hunting and retrieving skills at a championship level, will offer the chance for owners of HPR breeds to demonstrate the working skills of their dogs in a competitive setting. Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “Now that the qualification criteria have been announced, we are very much looking forward to welcoming entries to this exciting field trial. “The trial will showcase some of the best and most talented dogs within the HPR breeds, dogs that are very much fit for function and eager to work hard for their handlers.” Entries to the HPR Championship close on Thursday 31st October 2013.
