KENNY JACKETT IS CONFIDENT PLAYERS WILL BE SOLD Wolves boss Kenny Jackett today hinted he is confident the club will move on their star players. The Molineux head coach also indicated the success in selling their high earners will be key to new signings. The Express & Star revealed yesterday that Wolves will invite offers of more than £4million for Player of the Year Bakary Sako. Sako is Wolves’ most expensive asset and there is interest from Fulham and an un-named Premier League club, as well as a Champions’ League qualifier from abroad. Roger Johnson, Jamie O’Hara and Kevin Doyle are three more high earners the club are looking to move on. Jackett believes the club will achieve the right balance by the closure of the transfer window at the end of August. He said: "Will people come in for our players over the next few months? Yes, perhaps they will. But he warned the numbers of incoming players will be determined directly by those leaving. “I wouldn’t say we’re imminently close to signing players because this is the start of the identification process. “And I think with the types of finances involved with some of the guys, we are going to have to wait and see who wants in and who wants out and what type of calls we get for our players. “But I’m confident there are a lot of good players here to base the future on. “After that I will make what I consider to be a very quick assessment of the playing staff.” Jackett is confident he and the staff around him can attract the right replacements. He said: "I have a good idea of the squad here and who can be useful and who can’t. “I have got a good knowledge of the industry and I know the staff here have as well – there are a high number of people working in recruitment. “Their knowledge of contractual situations and of players available – as well as my own having worked in the industry for many years – is very good.”
