KENYANS - Minds are conditioned that news is where action is. As the old adage goes, good news is no news. We expect the society to live in a certain way and when it lives that way, reporting such things is no news. Governor XYZ buying his father a suit is no news item BUT LET HIM BEAT HIM. Of late there are some unusual incidences that have dominated the social media with haters using it to settle ethnic scores by associating such unusual deviant behavior with whole communities. 1st it is a high act of un-patriotism to be happy or care less about an incident happening in your own country just because it is not your community –At least you should know that your act of commission or omission is one to be ashamed of when it comes to the calling of a citizenry duty. Each of our communities have issues because as a society we have issues AND we should concentrate on those that unites us more rather than those that divide us. Those who blindly follow our key politicians are the agents of division and are doing the dirty errands of their masters in betrayal of their own country. Majority of Kenyans continue to need better life and we continue to play into the divide and rule tactics of cartels that must either keep power or get it. As Kenyans we must create a high moral citizenry ground on which to stand. Evil or suffering in any part of Kenya can never be a source of joy to any normal patriotic citizen. And those who believe that national unity in Kenya can’t be achieved should give a chance to those who believe OTHERWISE.
