KEWPEE 10K. My first 10k in the books. It was a beatdown. I still had the nagging back problem this morning and figured I was going to have to run in some storms. Turned out to be warm, but with some kicking wind. Hit the first couple miles a little too fast, slowed down on the next two. I hit mile 5 and it was into a nasty headwind uphill, I was sluggin it out. I had a welcome gift after I turned around and started on the last mile. A very pleasant tailwind. I gradually increased my speed, then went into an all out sprint to catch a runner ahead of me right at the finish line. I made it at 55:20, not sure where I placed yet, but I beat my goal of one hour. I did get scary dizzy after the race when I was coolin down, but im ok. I didnt need the ambulance. Take that Naked Baby Burger 10k!!...lol
