KFC WORKER THROWS HOT OIL ON CUSTOMER A 32-YEAR-OLD KFC WORKER has been arrested for dousing a customer with hot oil. Around 2pm yesterday, the female employee and 28-year-old Shammy Gonzales were at odds over an order he placed at the restaurant’s Barataria branch. It is alleged Mr. Gonzales struck the woman across her face then attempted to leave. Reports say the KFC employee then retrieved a pot of oil from the kitchen and doused Mr. Gonzales before he could exit. He is currently warded at hospital with second degree burns to his upper body. * PNM PICKS FARIS AL-RAWI FOR SANDO SEAT MR. FARIS AL-RAWI WILL CONTEST the San Fernando West constituency in the 2015 General Election. The Opposition Senator has been selected by the screening committee of the People’s National Movement. Mr. Al-Rawi was screened at the PNM’s South Regional Office in San Fernando yesterday evening. Head of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman IshaAt-I-Islam Inc. Trinidad and Tobago Chapter, Maulaana Mustapha Kemel Hydal has described the terrorist group as un-Islamic. The Maulaana is calling on local Muslims to unite and support the use of ideology, rather than force, to stop the Islamic State from committing atrocities. Hydal made the comments amid reports that Trinidad and Tobago nationals (or fighters with links to this country) are working with ISIS.
