KI Rising —key phrase of 2015.. Kotoshi wa ariagatou gozaimashita…Rainen mo yoroshiku onegaishimasu/ Thank you so much for this year—may I ask your support for 2015 Now we have completed the last Aiki keiko of 2014….thank you so very much to everyone who could train together…many congratulations for last nights wonderful Kyu tests: Yonkyu: Mr. Joe Melberg, Mr. Alexander Lee Williams, Ms. Laurel Marie Roberson Gokyu: Mr. Dustin Nelson, Mr. Ian Cooley Next years KI forecast is really about musubi and cooperation…..what a great year for our Aiki is coming!!!!!! KI TREND AND MAIN POINTS FOR SUCCESS IN 2015 In Japan from ancient times people have been very time conscious…..all things in Nature occur in their own time….awareness of time encourages gratefulness which is basic for a happy fulfilled life. In Japan, 3 types of astrology have been observed: TEN-CHI-JIN the teaching of Heaven, the teaching of Earth and the teaching of Man. Teaching of Heaven is JIKKAN 10 celestial stems, the inner and outer aspects (yin and yang) of the 5 elements. Teaching of Earth is JU-NI-SHI the 12 Animals/directions (this is the most popular and well known) The Eto is the Yearly symbol/animal and invite good fortune for that year. Teaching of Man is the KYUSEI the 9-Star KI. A system following a grid called the magic square. Here at Tsubaki Grand Shrine of America we conduct continuous Oharae during the period of Hatsumoude/ New Years Shrine visit...at that time during Saisyu aisatsu/ small remarks by Senior Kannushi following each Ceremony I share the KI trend of the new year opening.....may I share here as well: 2015 is Heisei 27/ KINOTO HITSUJI DOSHI/ SANPEKI MOKUSEI CHUGU—— the 27th year of the Heisei era, younger wood element sheep year, #3 bright green tree star KI *********************************** Kinoto Kinoto/ younger wood--- is represented by a bud growing in a winding manner powered by Dai Shizen no Meguri (the ceaseless cycle of Great Nature) such as the weather and the air. Kinoto also means that we strive to achieve our missions with all our heart by living and thriving. Also, it is represented by the way a bud grows after breaking through its shell while being forced to twist or turn because of outside influences such as the surrounding atmosphere and other hindrances. Furthermore, Kinoto also is associated with the word “kishiru (to squeak)” and is represented by the way all things are born and grow in a winding manner. Another image that represents Kinoto is that of a plant squeaking through the earth from underneath around Keichitsu (shōsetsu, the day of the Rabbit in February in a lunar calendar). After acquiring enough water and nutrients, plant seeds will break through a heavy layer of the earth to grow as buds eventually covering mountains and fields with greenery. Hitsuji Doshi/ Year of Sheep, The Sheep is the 8th eto..8 is a very lucky number…auspicious colors are green and purple— The Sheep is a Yin KI, symbolizing Peace, Harmonious co-existence and Tranquility. That is the primary and fundamental mood for this year. Of course there will be cries for conflict but the KI trend implies that conflict can be averted and a period of mending and compromise can be reached. The Sheep is the symbol of the Arts. It relates to passive and nurturing times. It will help the healing process with regard to past events caused by individuals who have little respect for the human race or life itself. It will be a year of banding together in faith and in belief that good will prevail and win out over the forces that refuse to comply to a peaceful way of life. For those who trust in goodness, happiness and success will follow. The emphasis will be on joining forces in order to prevail-- concern with structure, getting back to basics and using greater intuition to find solutions to problems that have existed for some time. The KI of the 2015 Hitsuji Doshi can gradually radiate its way to all. Shall we be extra vigilant from the Shunbun-no-Hi/Vernal Equinox on March 20th till April 20th. and also around Touji-no-Hi of 2015/ Day of the Winter Solstice on the 22nd of December till the 20th of January 2016. 2015 is a year to use keen intuition and mental abilities over force. A time for success of strategy and common-sense. Sanpeki Mokusei/ #3 green wood star KI During 2015 Sanpeki Mokusei will be the annual KI and occupy the center position of influence. The innate position of Sanpeki Mokusei is in the East….meaning rising and early morning ..it is shin of the 8 trigrams and direction of U / Rabbit in the Junishi. This is when the seedling develops the trefoil leaf and enters the phase of rapid energetic growth….it means seedlings have become strong enough to weather wind and rain. This is analogous to age three in the human beings development and means a time of remarkable brain development by the will of Okami. Significant linguistic development and the year for 7-5-3 Mairi to local Jinja. KI arises is the phrase of Sanpeki Mokusei…it is the number of Musubi (the knot tied between being and not being)..it means mu to create something new and the emergence of inspired ideas…. ********************************* ….we can find the way to move forward and achieve our goals in this new year through determination, cooperation, flexibility, optimism and modesty... ********************************* HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
