KIDERO COMMENDS GOVT FOR FUNDING SERVICES; Nairobi, 26th July, 2013 PSCU Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero today led his County Cabinet to State House, for a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto. Speaking during the consultative meeting, President Kenyatta said cooperation between the National and County governments was key to national development. Dr. Kidero commended the National Government for allocating huge resources to the County governments. The National Government has allocated Ksh 210 billion, which is 34 % of the national budget, more than the double the 15% required by the Constitution.The Governor thanked President Kenyatta for inviting him and his team for the meeting.“This demonstrates the genuine commitment to devolution and the promise of its benefits to the people of Kenya,” Dr. Kidero said.
