KIDNEY STONES formation and Diet to Prevent it.. KIDNEY Stones can form when substances in the urine—such as calcium, oxalate, and phosphorus—become Highly Concentrated. The body uses food for energy and tissue repair. HEALTHY Diet is one of Main Factors that Can Promote or Inhibit kidney stone formation.. Type of Kidney Stones.. - Calcium stones - the most common type of kidney stones. - Uric acid stones - form when the urine is Persistently Acidic. A diet Rich in Purines—substances found in Animal Protein such as Meats, Fish, and Shellfish—may Increase uric acid in urine. Thus, as I already said, all sort of Meats (but Pork) should be eaten in Very Moderations (if any). Fish also in very moderations because now seas/ oceans are Polluted and most of fish contains Heavy Metals. - Struvite stones - result from Kidney Infections. - Cystine stones - result from a Genetic Disorder that causes Cystine to Leak Through the kidneys and into the urine, forming crystals that tend to accumulate into stones. The First Step in Preventing kidney stones is to Understand What is Causing the stones to form (!). This information Helps the health care provider suggest diet changes to prevent future kidney stones If a person can catch a kidney stone as it passes, it Can be sent to a Lab for Analysis. Stones that are causing symptoms can be retrieved surgically or with a scope inserted through the urethra into the bladder or ureter, then sent to a lab for analysis. Blood and Urine can also be tested for Unusual levels of chemicals such as Calcium, Oxalate, and Sodium to Help determine What Type of kidney stone a person may have had. Dietary Changes to Help Prevent Kidney Stones.. People Can Help Preventing kidney stones by Making Changes in fluid intake, Start Eating Much Healthier diet, and, depending on the Type of kidney stone, changes in consumption of sodium, animal protein, calcium, and oxalate. Drinking Enough fluids each day is the Good way to help prevent most types of kidney stones (plus the Right diet, of course). Despite the fact health care providers recommend that a person drink 2 to 3 liters of fluid a day, I would personally say you need to DRINK ACCORDING TO THIRST (but 1,5 -2L a day Should be an Average amounts of Water a day with the exception when it is very hot outside). You can also obtain particular amount of water by eating Raw Fiber from fruits, vegetables and greens. Though water is best, other fluids may also help prevent kidney stones, such as Citrus drinks - Freshly squeezed Orange/Grapefruit/lemon juices. Recommendations based on the specific type of kidney stone include the following: *If you have Calcium Oxalate Stones, you need: - Reduce Sodium - Reduce Animal protein, such as Meat, Eggs, and Fish. - Get enough Calcium from food (the list will be posted Today). - Avoid foods high in Oxalate, such as spinach, rhubarb, nuts, and wheat bran (Nuts and Spinach… I think if the person takes GOOD care of their Health and eat well then those ones good in Moderations anyway.. it is Far better than consuming Junk or hormone based meats). *If you have Calcium Calcium Phosphate Stones, you need:: - Reduce Sodium - Reduce Animal protein (see above) - Get enough Calcium from food *If you have Calcium Uric Acid Stones, you need: - LIMIT Animal protein _________________________________________________ Personal Notes: - I am Against Calcium supplementation in Tablet form. It is Not that well absorbed by body and most probably will settle in your joints. You CAN get all the calcium from Foods. - As I have said already Many times – Animal protein (meat especially) could be consumed in Very Moderations (if any) and above mentioned information proves it one more time. - In that article, I derived that information from, the quite big accent was done on drinking enough water. My Personal view is Healthy Fiber Rich food, drinking According to Thirst, limiting sodium intake and reducing meat consumptions to 2 or max 3 times a week (you can eat less than that if any).
