Genesis 49:7 (KJV) While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 year old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the childs hand and hit it many times; not realising he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father ... with painful eyes he asked, Dad when will my fingers grow back? The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it alot of times. Devasted by his own actions ... sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written I LOVE YOU DAD. The next day the man committed suicide. Simeon and Levi lost their their fatherly blessings the day the smote Hamor, his son Shechem and all the males of their land for defiling their sister Dinah. They decieved them with circumcision and slew them all when they were sore and loot their belongings. Their father said of them ..Simeon and Levi [are] brethren; instruments of cruelty [are in] their habitations. Genesis 49:5 (KJV). It cost them their generational blessing which transcended from Abraham. They lost it cheaply to anger. When it was their turn to be blessed Jacob said..Cursed [be] their anger, for [it was] fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel. Genesis 49:7 (KJV). This was not a blessing but a curse. Ambrose Bierce once said “Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret.” Kill that spirit of anger! It has destroyed kings and terminated emperors peaceful reigns, ruined nations, brought antagonism between kingdoms and lots of others. It has cost so many of their promises like Moses. The wisest man that ever lived said...Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9 (KJV). When the spirit of anger stirs up in you, resist it and yell at that spirit sorry but Im not a fool. Master your spirit, have control over it, refuse to bulge, remember men like simeon, Levi and Moses, it stopped them, be wise and kill that anger spirit before it kills your blessings with its venom.
