KINGDOM BUILDERS “BUILDING THE KINGDOM THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD” PIERCING THE VEIL THE STARGATE OF HEAVEN Jacobs Ladder Genesis 28:11 And he came to a certain place and stayed there overnight, because the sun was set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down there to sleep. 12 And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! 13 And behold, the Lord stood over and beside him and said, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father [forefather] and the God of Isaac; I will give to you and to your descendants the land on which you are lying. 14 And your offspring shall be as countless as the dust or sand of the ground, and you shall spread abroad to the west and the east and the north and the south; and by you and your Offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed and bless themselves. 5 And behold, I am with you and will keep watch over you with care, take notice of you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done all of which I have told you. 16 And Jacob awoke from his sleep and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it. God told Job in 33:14 For God does reveal His will; He speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it including you, Job. 15 One may hear God’s voice in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, 16 Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction. We are so busy in this carnal world on a day to day basis, rising, eating, working, tending to children, mingling with friends, and doing the business of the day, and then doing it all over again the next day. How then shall God speak to us in all this carnality in day to day living. Prayer lives are at a minimal. Being spiritual to some is being so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good, and this statement comes from believers. It intimidates those who seek God. Instead, we should be so heavenly minded that all we do in earth is good. I remember diligently seeking the Lord on a regular basis, and moving in the power of the Holy Ghost in an unprecedented way. One day, I went up to my pastor and said, “I’ve been praying“…. And then he suddenly stopped me, and said, “There you go praying again.” Now, I will be honest, that hurt my feelings for he was my spiritual mentor, and he was mocking me. It didn’t stop me from praying, however, but I never revealed any of the truths that I got from God to him again. Because of our carnal life, sometimes the only way God can get to us is in our sleep when we are at rest and not caught up with worldly affairs. At this time of repose, he can commune with our soul and spirit to give us instructions. Just like Jacob, God had to wait until he was asleep to show him the great revelation and spiritual truths that he wanted him to understand and to receive the promises from God that he would seal in his soul. How much more could we receive if only we would rise early like Christ who either went out into a desert place or up into the mountain every morning and every evening to get his instructions from the Father. Jesus said, he did what his Father showed him and spoke what his Father told him. When was the last time we actually got our instructions on a daily basis from heaven like Christ, the pattern son who was successful in all he did because he heard every minute from the Father? He was spiritually in tune. Like Jacob, we could all say, “God is in this place, and I did not know it.” So that genders a question in me, “Where is God?” Some say he is in the third heaven, some say he is on his throne, but the truth is, God is omnipresent. He is everywhere. Jacob said he is in this place. The indication is that God is all around us. Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you” indicating you are his temple in which he resides. The psalmist said in Psams 139:5-13, 5 You have beset me and shut me in—behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me. 6 Your infinite knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high above me, I cannot reach it. 7 Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, the place of the dead, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be the only light about me, 12 Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. 13 For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb. Paul reiterated this in Romans 10:6-8, then he said, “the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart; that is, the word of faith which we preach.” So you see, heaven is not some realm that we will go to with streets of gold, pillars of pearl, a utopic house in which we will live, or some place with pastures of green, and rivers endlessly running with life. Oh no! All of heaven is in you. Christ is in you. The place he said he was going to build is you, my friend, the temple of God, the tabernacle of the Holy Ghost. He is here, in you and all around you. Isn’t that what Jacob said, “God is here and I didn’t know it.” As a spiritual, when you open your mouth, heaven is revealed for it is within you. Nathaniel received this promise from the Lord: “Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man” (John. 1:51). This makes me think of a Stargate which is a hypothetical device consisting of a traversable portal typically a wormhole that can send one to another location light years away nearly instantaneously and a device that transports something passing through it to another point in the universe usually another stargate in a way that bypasses the intervening space. Our imaginations have even touched Hollywood to produce movies entitled The Stargate. It tells of a portal that men go through to enter into another place of history. Fantasy is good, but the true spiritual is totally awesome. Now a portal is simply a door or a gateway from here to another realm. Notice in the account of Jacob and his ladder that the ladder originated in earth then went to heaven and the angels were first ascending from earth then descending from heaven. I want you the reader to realize that the Edenic kingdom is here, that heaven is not light years away in some mythical galaxy, but a real place right here on earth and in you. If you can see this, it will quench your desire to be taken out to some distant universe to escape the problems of the world, but begin to occupy and build his Kingdom NOW. Nathaniel was a man who became a disciple of Christ in John 1:44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the same city as Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip sought and found Nathanael and told him, We have found the One Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote about—Jesus from Nazareth, the son of Joseph! 46 Nathanael answered him, Can anything good come out of Nazareth? Philip replied, Come and see! 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said concerning him, See! Here is an Israelite indeed a true descendant of Jacob, in whom there is no guile nor deceit nor falsehood nor duplicity! 48 Nathanael said to Jesus, How do You know me? How is it that You know these things about me? Jesus answered him, Before ever Philip called you, when you were still under the fig tree, I saw you. 49 Nathanael answered, Teacher, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel! 50 Jesus replied, Because I said to you, I saw you beneath the fig tree, do you believe in and rely on and trust in Me? You shall see greater things than this! 51 Then He said to him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you all, you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man! We can see clearly here the qualifications that Jacob must have had to have the heavens opened and see a ladder with the angels ascending and descending upon it. Jacob who originally was a usurper by name is now one like Nathaniel who has no guile, no deceit, no falsehood, and no duplicity. He has changed. He is a sincere man. He is now ready to see spiritual things, understand spiritual truths, look into spiritual realities, and receive spiritual promises. But, this promise is not only to Jacob and Nathaniel, my friends, but this same promise to see into spiritual realities is to all who believe Jesus is the Christ, and who are a spiritual people. Jesus said in John 10:7 So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I Myself am the Door for the sheep. The word “door” is a vestibule, an entrance way or passage into, or in a parable or metaphor the door through which sheep go in and out, the name of him who brings salvation to those who follow his guidance, and particularly an open door which is used of the opportunity of doing something, and the door of the kingdom of heaven likened to a palace which denotes the conditions which must be complied with in order to be received into the kingdom of God. The sinner cannot receive the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God, nor can the carnal Christian receive divine revelations or see through the portal of God except he be a spiritual. You see Paul said the things of the kingdom are spiritually discerned. It is not that the things of the kingdom are not available, but one must, I say must be spiritual like Jacob or Nathaniel to see it. On the day that Jesus was baptized by John, a portal was opened in heaven in Luke 3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven, saying, You are My Son, My Beloved! In You I am well pleased and find delight! This was a spiritual occurrence from heaven putting God’s approval on his first born son, the pattern son, and the forerunner of our faith. He is the first among many sons to come into that glorious kingdom, and the first to receive God’s approval amongst many. As sons of God, we have special favor to look into the mysterious realms of the heavenlies and to walk in the miraculous. The divine messengers of God, the Angellos, the preachers, the angels are ascending and descending upon that spiritual ladder from earth to heaven to deliver the untold mysteries of the kingdom. Paul knew a man once caught up into the heavens, 2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows—was caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or away from the body I do not know, God knows— 4 Was caught up into paradise, and he heard utterances beyond the power of man to put into words, which man is not permitted to utter. I will use the word “stargate” here so even the youthful will get the message. He was caught up through a stargate or portal or door into the 3rd heaven indicating there are other heavens. Ephesians 4:10 He Who descended is the very same as He Who also has ascended high above all the heavens, that His presence might fill all things the whole universe, from the lowest to the highest. Deu 10:14Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORDS thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. This place or heaven is also called Paradise which is by definition a garden, pleasure ground, grove, or park, and it describes none other than this place, planet earth. So we see that heaven or heavens which is Ouranos in the Greek is that portion of sky above us, and that Paul was not caught up into another galaxy in the Milky Way or some other galaxy in the Universe, but here by the spirit into the spirit. We contain the spiritual and the heavenly within us. Our spirit man which has been born again and is regenerated by God is all we need to enter the spiritual realm. The only problem we have is that we rely on the soul and the flesh more than we rely upon the spirit. John was caught up in Revelation 4:1-2, After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. What did John say, “immediately I was in the spirit”. Now you can see that being in the spirit is a heavenly thing. We are not as far away as we think. In fact, if we would just simply just begin to pray and get in the spirit, we can can all experience the ecstasies of God in the 3rd heaven right here on earth. Isaiah saw the Lord. In Isaiah 6:1, In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried unto another and said, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then said I, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Notice he didn’t say all of heaven is full of his glory. He said the whole earth is full of his glory. The prophet Habakkuk said in Hab 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. He wasn’t talking about some mystery universe or the abode of God light years form here. No, he was talking about the glory of God filling the earth. In fact, the glory of God already covers the earth, mankind is basically ignorant and carnal and can’t see it. This is the reason he is sending us out to teach the nations about the glory of God that they may see this beautiful kingdom for themselves. God is preparing a people, a heavenly and celestial race, here in this earthly and heavenly realm, and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Eph. 2:6-7). All the murmuring, complaining, and criticism on earth of all the things that transpire on a daily basis does not work the kingdom. No, in fact, it hinders the kingdom from appearing. One complains about the heat, another the rain, and another the cold. Can you not see that all this complaining is contrary to the word of God who said, “this is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Can you not see that all the criticism of our leaders in this world do not work the glory of the kingdom. For the word exhorts us to first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour. (1 Tim. 2:-3). Just because they are evil or stupid or ignorant or despotic does not mean we should not pray for them. God said to pray for them all. Can you not see that carping about your pastor and saying, I am more spiritual than him or he has lost the anointing does not work the glory of God. Did not Korah and his followers say the same things about Moses. The earth opened up, and they were swallowed up by the Lord. Paul was received by the believers even as Christ himself. We must honor those who are the anointed and those raised up by God for it is he that has called them. It has nothing to do with your spirituality compared to theirs; it has everything to do with the calling. This works the kingdom. Can you not see that when the Hebrew children began to murmur and complain about not having anything but bread and water that it did not work the glory of God. He sent serpents to bite those that complained and murmured and many died. Of course, you can see that the list goes on and on. It is written in Luke 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, “And what shall we do?” And he said unto them, “Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.” These things were written for our examples that we might not sin against God. Paul said he had learned to be abased and to abound, and that he was content in whichever state he was in. Contentment here and now does work the kingdom of God. Whenever the world sees the sons of God NOT murmuring, NOT complaining, NOT carping, NOT belly aching, not criticizing, NOT divisive, they will begin to see the kingdom at work and want to be a part of it. When the world sees the unity we walk in by the love we have one for another, they will want to be a part. You see we display the same characteristics as the world. In fact, the world in many ways does things better than us and without griping. Let’s go out speaking a right word in due time seasoned with salt, do those things that are holy and righteous in the sight of God. Then we shall make disciples. If we are to usher in the kingdom of God, it is imperative, we act like sons of God at all times. We not only must do the right things, but we must say the right things. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of his heart his mouth speaketh. 46 “And why call ye Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to Me, and heareth My sayings and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man who built a house and dug deep and laid the foundation on a rock; and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house and could not shake it, for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house without a foundation upon the earth, against which the stream beat vehemently, and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great. The kingdom of God is built upon a rock, and that rock is Christ. No longer can we expect to see the glories of God if we do not as he does or speak what he speaks. We are not subject to the carnal wisdom of this world which is foolishness to God. We must embrace his eternal truths and do them, and then he will recognize us as true sons of God. God told Moses to build the tabernacle according to the pattern in heaven. We are not building anymore tabernacles, but we are building up ourselves after the pattern son of God who has gone into the heavenlies before us. We are to, above all else become like him. Our calling is to be like him. 1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God! Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. 2 Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. Glory to his name forever!
