KINGDOM LIVING In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t. Romans 12:4-5 Wow! Our meaning and function is found within His body - did you see that! From the body as a whole! We are dependent on God - we are also dependent on each other. For when we each fulfill our calling we will as a body reflect Him to the world. We can not all excel at everything but when we excel at our piece and encourage those around us to do the same what a beautiful bride the church will become. Our enemy doesnt want to see this common purpose he will try to plant jealousy and pride, he will try to belittle our part or whisper self doubt. The truth is when we are a just one part we rarely get to glimpse the whole effect - trust only the voice of the one who can - your creator. Gods greatest desire is to see heaven come to earth and He does that through us - through His body. His glory will be seen in His church as we dwell together in unity, each fulfilling His call. Our reward - our Lords goal - God is your Father, and your Father’s great joy is to give you His kingdom. Luke 12:32
