🏁🏁KINGS LYNN 54 WOLVES 39🏁🏁 WOLVERHAMPTON gave a gutsy display but finished second best to rampant Kings Lynn 54-39 in Wednesdays Elite League clash in Norfolk. Polish golden boy Piotr Pawlicki gave another glittering display for the Parrys International Wolves - but it wasnt enough to stop the Stars who are the form team and clear league leaders. Young reserve Ashley Morris will miss Thursdays trip to Swindon after a heavy fall when he was thrown from the bike and landed awkwardly. He was taken away from the track by County Ambulance and had CT Scans in hospital overnight but was conscious. In an ironic twist, Stars reserve Lewis Rose readily agreed to step in as a guest replacement for the trip to Wiltshire. World champion and skipper Tai Woffinden gave another below-par score for Parrys International Wolves but he fell in one outing - and he combined with Pawlicki for a maximum 8-1 to keep his side in the hunt. Club owner Chris Van Straaten said: Obviously our main concern was for Ash, it was a horrible crash and we hope he will be fine, but Lewis Rose will step in at Swindon. Pawlicki was sensational, Woffinden fell which was unfortunate and a couple of the lads came good at the end which is encouraging. KING’S LYNN 54: Niels-Kristian Iversen 11+2, Lewis Kerr 9+2, Nicklas Porsing 8, Rory Schlein 7+2, Lewis Rose 7+2, Robert Lambert 6, Kenneth Bjerre 6. WOLVERHAMPTON 39: Piotr Pawlicki 17, Ty Proctor 7, Tai Woffinden 6+2, Jacob Thorssell 6, Joe Jacobs 3, Ricky Wells 0, Ashley Morris 0. Elite League points: King’s Lynn 3 Wolverhampton 0
