KIPTAGIT TEA FARMS SHINDWE The collapsing tea sector is good news for the Kingdom of the Maasai. Hundreds of acres of Mau forest land was destroyed to make way for the stupid tea plantations. We need to start an Avaaz et al petition for boycott of tea from Mau forest. Consumers in western nations are now very sensitive to people and companies that are involved in environmental damage. When former President Moi was at the helm, he pressured the County Council of Narok to hive a large section of the Mau forest land. The current deputy president and Intrrnational Criminal Court Suspect William Samoei Ruto, has on numerosus occassions said that even more tea plantations will be planted to act as a buffer zone for Mau forest. This means that even more forest lands will continue to disappear. Tea plantations are ecological dead zones devoid of diversity. The next time you buy your tea leaves, think carefully at how it impacts on the Mau forest.
