KISMET KEEPING ON. WHY HAVE THEY STARTED IN THE MIDDLE. The crooked buildings had all been evacuated and the restaurants have relocated, so demolition could take place. The rest of the strip is still occupied, some by owner occupiers, I believe there is a court case going on and a meeting scheduled for Jan 17th. Our landlord states catigorically that he wants us back in as soon as it is possible, so there is no reason why he is keeping any info from us,The fact is no one is being told anything. Business are moving, because if they wait then the accommodation they have found may not be available, or maybe will be more expensive and NOT because they have been given a date for demolition. No one knows anything so anything you may hear at the moment is purely speculation. It may well be that given that time is running out before the start of the season in APRIL would the powers that be want a building site so near the square and harbour visible to tourists. If that is the case then they could tidy up the demolished building site and rest of the strip maybe spared until November when issues have been resolved and could be demolished during winter,,,BUT that is only my thoughts and I have nothing to back that up. It is disgusting and unacceptable that no one is being compensated for loss of homes and business. in fact people are having to shell out money for storage, or to rent temporary accomodation whilst rebuilding takes place, in fact the owners and landlords are responsible for the rebuild,
