KISS ARMY WITH KEVSTER / MELSTER THIS DAY IN KISSTORY 4/9 1975 - KISS gets Dressed to Kill for the concert at Erie County Fieldhouse in Erie, Pennsylvania. The opening acts are Vitales Madmen and Rush. 1979 - KISS makes a surprise appearance in Staten Island , N.Y in Millers Feild Park to support the Re-opening of the park for the first time in over 10 years. The event was a complete circus that Staten Island had never seen before with a crowd of over 11,000 people KISS performed a three song set Deuce , Strutter and Rock & Roll All Nite to finish the concert and event with a Pyro Show that lasted over ten minutes. Other musical acts on hand for the event was Rush , Joan Jett , Boston , Styx and 7 local Staten Island Bands including the Staten Island Band White Lion. 1986 - MTV adds the KISS music video Who Wants To Be Lonely? to their play list. 1988 - KISS is voted Best Heavy Metal Band at the New York Music Awards. 1990 - Former KISS Spaceace Ace Frehley has Trouble Walkin as his solo tour hits Ventura, California. 1991 - KISS Fox Eric Carr undergoes heart surgery to remove a tumor later this same year THE FOX passes away on November 24th.The KISS Drummer was only 41 years old this was a very sad day in KISSTORY. 1994 - KISS appears in the current issue of Kerrang magazine. 1996 - Guitar magazine runs a story about KISS and their Reunion Tour in the current issue of their magazine. 1997 - The KISS Alive-Worldwide 96/97 Tour hits the sold out Coliseum at Fort Wayne, Indiana. The audience was filled with 7,522 KISS fans including Country Music Star Garth Brooks and Comedian/Talk Show Host Jay Leno and the Rock Band Skid Row Lead Singer Sebastian Bach. 1998 - KISS appears in an article about their Psycho Circus Tour printed by Metal Edge magazine. 2000 - KISS Bids Farewell To Fort Meyers, Florida During The KISS Farewell Tour The Sold-Out Concert Had Some Big Name Stars In The Front Row On Hand At The Show Was Playboy Owner Hugh Hefner And KISS Former Members Bruce Kulick , Eric Singer Along With Baseball Legends Mike Piazza Derek Jeter And Alex Rodriguez. 2004 - Former KISS Guitarist Bruce Kulick shreds away in Sweden during a concert at Rock Land in Sala. Meanwhile KISS Co-founder Gene Simmons is interviewed in Star magazine, and then he works on editing his Speaking In Tongues DVD. 2009 - KISS Arrive at the airport In Lima , Peru and are interviewed on the national t.v show Cuarto Poder for their up-coming KISS ALIVE 35 TOUR stating they are very excited to be in Lima , Peru for the first time ever promising to put on the biggest and best KISS show ever. 2012 - KISS Performed Their Smash Hit Rock & Roll All Nite On The Hit ABC T.V Show Dancing With The Stars On The Shows Start Of Their Rock Week Edition With All Of The Dancing With The Stars Dancers Dancing In Full KISS Make-up To The Delight Of The Crowd.
