#KITES #EPISHOD_2 continuing... She starts telling him a story…. It was a Saturday morning. And that day, it was the result distribution day. The result was of second term of grade 10. The result was going to knock at the door of Subihani’s home. But she was already knocked down before its arrival. She knew what the result was going to be. Subihani means a good morning but it seemed bad that day. Because her mind was covered by the blanket of poor result and she was suffocating. Her father arrived at the door with a cup of tea and asked,”why aren’t you awake till now?... hmmm there may be only two reasons. One is it should be a rainy day and another; it should be your result today. And as far as I know, it’s a sunny day.” He continues, “enough my dear! I know the reason of your sickness. Here is your tea. I am going to your school. Have a nice sleep.” He returned home with the result. Subihani looked at him. He smiled and said,”better luck next time, darling.” The result was as same as it was in the first term, all stars. Her father didn’t say anything to her because he knew why his daughter was so silent and sorrowful. She was the only member left in his family. His wife and elder daughter had left him few years before. And he didn’t want to hurt her princes like daughter by commenting in any matter. Next day she went to her school and got scolded by her teachers. She remained silent and unaffected by the words of the teachers because it had been five months that she had stopped smiling, weeping, crying and talking as before. If somebody asks something, she used to reply in few words and remain silent again. In the break everybody were talking about the marks that they had got in the exam. But she was looking at a tree outside the window of the class. A friend of her from another section came to her and like every day she tried to unravel the cause of silence inside her. And Subihani refused to open up her story as she used to do in past days. she put her head down on the desk. Her friend went away with other girls. Asmita poured the water over Subihani’s head accidentally. Asmita was the greatest enemy of her. Subihani was on fire. She took her water bottle out of her bag. And she poured it over Asmita. The poured water extinguished her fire of anger. But the war had just begun. Asmita threw the bottle on the face of her rival Subihani. And they started hitting each other with the bags around them. Nobody dared to stop the war between two greatest enemies of the school. It ended with the entry of the English teacher in the class. The class was like war-field after the war. Each and everything in the class were messed up. Bags and books of every classmate were in the floor. And two of them were standing on the desk catching each other’s hair. Both were wet and steaming due to anger. They were called in the staff room. And they were given advice to utilize their rivalries in their study instead of messing up the classroom. It was the best advice to them. It would improve their study and they could compete with each other for higher ranks too. Even Asmita was well convinced after that. But there was no effect of the advice in the mind of Subihani. Asmita tried to change her rival because her thoughts were different. It was “rival are those ones who inspires you to move ahead and win. Not by encouraging but by making you feel that somebody is just behind you, watching your every moves. So, if you have a tough rival you can have a tough competition to achieve greater height of achievement.” Eventhough she challenged Subihani many times, Subihani remained silent. After a lot of dominating words, the challenge was accepted. The challenge was to score highest marks in the coming test which was going to kick off next week. At that point, the countdown began. Both of them moved to the front desk of the class. The problem was there was only one desk empty. They shared the desk unwillingly. Subihani drew a margin at the middle of the desk just like the border line of two countries. And she said, “This part of the desk is mine and rest yours. And be limited within your boundary, got it!” It brought smile on Asmita’s face by the behavior of her closest enemy. They seemed more attentive than any other days. They started competing on everything. While doing class works sometimes Asmita used to finish first and sometimes Subihani. From that day rest of the class were audiences. They used to quarrel when their things cross the border. But they were totally focused in their study. At home, they used to study till midnight and again get started from early morning. The teacher who had advised them, felt proud when he saw them so dedicated to their study. After a long run the class test came in front of them. Both attended the test well. They scored equal in the test and the competition was over without any winners. After that too, they preferred sitting together in the same desk. Unknowingly the dark rivalries changed into violate friendship. And they started spending their time together. But still they were confused about their relationship, either they were foes or they were friends. And the confusion got away like this. One day, Asmita was absent. Subihani missed her a lot. It was hard to spend time alone in the school for Subihani. They fought when they were together and they were missing each other when they were far. It means friendship. Next day they came to school earlier and chatted whole day. Day by day they became much closer. Two biggest rivals changed into best friends. Everybody was shocked in the school when they knew that Asmita and Subihani became best friends within two weeks. Month passed away and it was near to winter. They were close to their vacation. In vacation too they spent their time together. They also started spending nights together. In one evening, as usual they were sitting on the terrace of Asmita’s home. The sun was on the horizon and the sky was red. They were enjoying the sunset. Asmita asked to Subihani that why she was so mysterious in those days before they had the fight. Subihani felt uncomfortable by the question. So she tried to change the topic. She asked, “Do you love winter?” “amm… yeap! I do. It’s cold but beautiful. I love the dawn of the winter season. It feels like the clouds are below your feet. It decorates the environment with the white contrast color.” Asmita replied. They were chatting about the winter season and its beauty. Asmita’s mom called them for dinner. By that time it was dark. After dinner they again claimed the stairs to enjoy the scene of the sky full of stars. Again Asmita asked to her friend, “Do you believe in god?” “Yes, But he is so rude. He don’t have human heart.”, Subihani replied. “If he had human heart, he would be one of us. He don’t, so he is god.”Asmita questioned “Do you have any reason to say that?” “Yes, lots of reasons”, Subihani continued,” He sneezed everybody who were beloved of mine. At first my mom and sis and after that him... ”. Asmita exclaimed with curiosity,”who? I didn’t get anything... Would you mind explaining me everything?” “Okay! Listen “, she continued,”……. I used to dream a lot in those days. And after dream, I used to wake up and move towards school earlier. As usual, I went to school. I was wandering around my school. I checked out every class. I was about to reach my class. Then, I saw a boy who was a bit strange and mysterious at that time, sitting on the last bench of the class. Then, I looked at him continuously......
