KKKK AYAS ISU CHEKUMIRIRA HAPANA WE ACCELERATE GO CHELSEA GO HAMENO VANE BP!!! KKKK KWAAAA MATCH REPORT: CHELSEA 3 ASTON VILLA 0 Oscar’s 2nd goal in 4days,Diego Costa’s 8th of the season&Willian’s 1st maintained our lead at the top. The opener was scored early on against an Aston Villa side showing limited ambition, with the other goals coming in the 2nd half as our much-in-form top scorer made his presence felt, having a big hand in Willian’s goal too. Against a massed defence,Chelsea dominated with Thibaut Courtois rarely called upon. As well as the cutting edge shown against difficult opponents, the clean sheet was also satisfying. TEAM NEWS There was just one change to the side that had started last weekend’s league game at Man City with 2 Brazilians swapped – Oscar in for injured Ramires. He,along with Gary Cahill&Cesar Azpilicueta, were the 3 who also began the midweek cup win over Bolton. For Villa,Nathan Baker&Ashley Westwood were over the illness that ruled them out of the defeat at Arsenal. Baker came into defence for Ciaran Clark&Westwood replaced midfielder Carlos Sanchez. FIRST HALF Villa, who began the day just 3points behind Chelsea, started the quicker. Courtois was out like lightning to snuff out an early Villa counter-attack,&on 5mins John Terry had to dive to head a cross deep into our area to safety,at the cost of a briefly painful knock. The Blues had yet to threaten, but when we 1st did after 6mins,we also took the lead. Branislav Ivanovic,as he has so often this season already, made his presence felt in an attack, this time weighting a ball perfectly through the Villa backline for Willian to run&shoot. Guzan stopped it but only well enough for Willian to have a 2nd bite of the cherry. This time he spotted Oscar close to goal&in space,&with a relatively simple task to score his 2nd goal of the week, from much closer range than the 1st. As Chelsea went in search of another to firmly wrestle the initiative away from Paul Lambert’s side,Fabregas almost threaded a ball through to meet Ivanovic’s slide,&then Willian down the left-hand channel after a great flick by Diego Costa had his cross deflected into the side-netting – not too far at all from finding the goal. There was a suspicion of Villa handball as well. The mid-period of the half was filled with plenty of Chelsea play in the Villa half, some skilful interchanges, but by&large the boys from Birmingham were defending well&in numbers. Their LB Aly Cissokho poked wide after a corner at the other end,&Gary Cahill was booked when he tripped the escaping Agbonlahor just inside the Chelsea half. Fabregas dragged a shot wide before Oscar produced the best piece of skill of the game so far to leave Alan Hutton in his wake, but the cross was cut out. The half had entered its final 15mins&the odd chance was beginning to come with Chelsea passing at a good tempo. Diego Costa rose between 2 defenders to head Willian’s cross but he didn’t beat Guzan. He curled a shot wide a few minutes later. Willan was more off target with 3mins to go. SECOND HALF Courtois,as in the 1st half, was the 1st GK extended, diving but in the end not needing to make contact on Fabian Delph’s shot as the new England intnl cleared the post. Tom Cleverley was the 1st player to provoke referee Phil Dowd into opening his notebook, the transgression a foul on Oscar. On 56mins,Diego Costa targeted his 2nd header of the game at goal, this time from Ivanovic’s cross to the far post, but again Guzan was equal to it. The Matthew Harding End sang the striker’s name as encouragement. They weren’t going to have to wait long. Just before that attempt Nathan Baker had headed over for Villa. When the next cross came over,Guzan’s luck ran out. This time Diego Costa’s powered header from Azpilicueta’s delivery was unstoppable. It was 2-0 with 58mins played. There had been a tidy passage of passing on the left that led to the goal. A booking for each side sandwiched that goal,Fabregas for tripping Agbonlahor&Senderos for unbalancing Diego Costa as the striker turned away behind the former Arsenal stopper. Now Villa had to come out a bit,&swapped 2 of their attacking players for others on the bench. Oscar looked certain to add a 3rd goal when the ball broke off a Villa player into his stride but although he poked it past the keeper,Cissokho managed to clear off the line. Despite the deficit,Villa were still limited in their ambition,&Hazard nearly made them pay further with the craft to flash a cross millimetres away from the head of Diego Costa. The Belgian was replaced by Andre Schurrle shortly after. Diego Costa was another player who was given a few minutes rest towards the end,but not before he had been a major player in the 3rd goal. With the ball at his feet this time,he ran at a retreating rearguard, twisting&turning them inside out. His shot was parried but again Guzan couldn’t hold it. The looping ball bounced off a Villa body&into the path of Willian to tuck in. It is a win that maintains our 3-point lead over Southampton&passes several milestones. On the occasion of Jose Mourinho’s 250th game in charge of the club,&our 4,000th league game&2,000th home league game since 1905,we secured our 5,000th point.
