KMC MTB Bundesliga International 2015 Two classics and two newcomer The KMC MTB Bundesliga International in 2015 counts six events. Two HC registered races are the most prominent, but also two interesting new venues are entering next years edition of the German series, which kicks off in April in Bad Säckingen. Again the classics Heubach and Bad Salzdetfurth are the outstanding and most prominent events of the KMC Mountain Bike Bundesliga. They are both registered in UCI’s Hors Class category and they are for the longest time in the series. The 15th edition of the BiketheRock in Heubach will then be part of the series for 13 times in a row and the Mountain Bike Race in Bad Salzdetfurth started to be in 2006. For the second time, the Bosch Gold Trophy Sabine Spitz in Bad Säckingen joins the series. But in the birth town of three times Olympic medalist Sabine Spitz also organized the German Nationals in 2012 and 2014. So the organizers are already used to manage a big event. The Wheelsports Race in Schopp this year celebrated its comeback after a 12 years break and will repeat in 2015. Completely new in the KMC MTB Bundesliga are the venues in Titisee-Neustadt and in Wombach. Titisee-Neustadt in the Black Forest has a lot of experience in high leveled sports event, especially in winter sports. Ten months ago the ski jump world cup was hosted in the town and exactly at the Hochfirst ski jump, where the athletes in winter times are flying 140 meters and more, the Eliminator and cross country races will be held. They have organized smaller races for seven years, but a lot of strong German riders, living and training in this area, 30 minutes east of Freiburg, were encouraging the club RSV Hochschwarzwald to enter the series. No coincidence that Bundesliga title defender and Absa Cape Epic third placed Simon Stiebjahn is an origin of Titisee-Neustadt. Wombach is located in northern Bavaria, one driving hour east of Frankfurt/M. It’s the home soil of Markus Bauer, the bronze medalist at the German nationals this year. The club RV Viktoria Wombach has already organized some talent events and will host the German nationals in 2016. “We are happy to increase the number of events from four in 2014 to six in 2015. We are looking forward to provide a strong KMC Bundesliga series next year. Thanks to our partner KMC and to the organizers, especially the two new ones, to make that happen”, says Udo Sprenger, vice president of the German cycling federation BDR.
