KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Milford Lake Blue-Green Algae Update 9/4/14 Marina open, boat rentals available The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has placed Milford lake under a Blue-Green Algae Warning. As a result of lake-wide BG Algae impacts, KDWP&T and the Corps of Engineers will be closing designated beaches. Warning signs will be placed at boat ramps and access points. The Fort Riley Marina will be open but no direct water contact crafts can be rented. This includes canoes, kayaks, jet skies, tubes, water skies, etc. Boats will still be available to rent; however direct contact with the water is prohibited.
