KNOWING GOD PART 5A Exodus 15:11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, GLORIOUS IN HOLINESS, FEARFUL IN PRAISES, DOING WONDERS? 2 Chronicles 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise in THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. Joshua 3:5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do WONDERS AMONG YOU. Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted, and priests blew the trumpets; and when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight ahead, and they took the city.… Habakkuk 1:13a Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:..... Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the [a]meditation of mine heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord my strength, and my redeemer Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Psalm 75:7 But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another. Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. Growing up as a child of God i remember hearing several messages on the Power of Praise,how it can bring down every wall of Jericho in our lives,this has always fascinated and excited me and set the pace for my never missing an opportunity to dance and give God praise. Knowing that God inhabits the Praises of His people gave credence to how truly powerful praise was,especially as we were taught that you can Pray amiss but you cant Praise amiss! However in every Promise there are responsibilities,in Gods Kingdom likened to any citizen in any Nation,as we have two main factors,Our Rights and Our Responsibilities,Our Right is what God does for us,Our Responsibilities is what we do for God,anyone who says,that you have no part to play in Gods Kingdom that all you have to do is just believe is misled and also trying to mislead other deliberately or inadvertently....as seen above and revealed to me by the Holy Spirit,before Joshua 6:20,there was first of all Joshua 3:5,for until you consecrate yourself, your Praise will be in vain! Exodus 15:11 makes it clearer,Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, GLORIOUS IN HOLINESS, FEARFUL IN PRAISES, DOING WONDERS?...Holiness is the key to have fearful praises,and fearful praises culminates in our experiencing the wonders of God because When God appears the every mountain melts before Him like wax, Why we may ask is Holiness key? When God appears one thing happens Judgement,with two completely different expressions,Promotion and Demotion,Judgement and Blessing, Exaltation and Damnation,Lifting and Falling...When Isaiah encountered God in chapter 6 of Isaiah,this is what happened... Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts........so when we praise, God should naturally appear,but if He appears and we are singing, not in the beauty of Holiness, what we will receive will be His Judgement and not His Blessing...Oh! How many times have we heard of Choir members,the song Minstrels of our times, who come to church straight from the bed of fornication to lead Gods people into His presence with Praise! The Fearfulness of God in praises should be towards our enemies and not us,the wonders of God appearing and bringing down the Wall of Jericho was not just tied to there Praise but tied to there state of heart, when they Praised...While others who obeyed and consecrated themselves got victory through Praise, Achan disobeyed and brought Judgment on his entire household through Praise!....Once again i declare only what God expressly told me in this season, Consecrate yourself(Go before His presence in prayer and ask Him to burn off every chaff in your life with His Holy Fire), for God is set to visit His people, that as you praise Him and as He will surely appear,wondrous blessings will be your portion and not Judgement....Selah!
