KOBANE LIBERATION: United States Central Command has confirmed on Tuesday that anti-ISIL forces have liberated most of the city of Kobane. Several rebel brigades, including Dawn of Freedom, joined Kurdish fighters in a joint offensive against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS or ISIL) militants in the city. The groups, along with Kurdish fighters, reclaimed Kobane from IS militants on Monday, according to reports. Rudaw reported that Kurdish fighters took control of most neighborhoods in Kobane on Monday. An official statement released by the YPG claimed the fighters had advanced along the eastern front of the city.
