KONKOLA COPPER MINES LAUNCHES JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS KONKOLA Copper Mines (KCM) launched its Jubilee Celebration programme on 9th September, which will run to 7th November 2014.The programme comprises a series of events, which will be held in Copperbelt and Central provinces, as well as in London in conjunction with the Zambian High Commission. KCM will sponsor activities aligned with the company’s corporate social responsibility pillars, which are education, health, sustainable livelihoods and sports development. The first event in KCM’s Jubilee Celebrations is an essay writing competition for KCM Schools’ students in grades 10-12 under the theme “The Road to Zambia’s 50 Years of Independence” where the first prize winner of the competition will have their story published in one of the daily newspapers.
