The Brazilians are expected to arrive in Ghana on July 12 for a pre-season training tour and have lined up three friendlies against Hearts of Oak, Ebusua Dwarfs and league Champions Asante Kotoko. Kotoko have confirmed that they have accepted Sundowns’ request and the friendly is set for Sunday, July 21 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. “Sundowns would be visiting Ghana for a pre-season tour and have requested for a friendly with us. Management has accepted the request and we would host them in Kumasi the following Sunday after the MTN FA Cup finals against Medeama on July 14,” Asante Kotoko’s spokesperson Dr. Ernest Opoku revealed to METROFMONLINE.COM With Kotoko yet to complete serving a recent three-match home ban from the Baba Yara Stadium, it remains to be seen whether the Ghana FA would sanction the friendly. However, the club could have the match sanctioned for Kumasi if their coronation for the 2012/13 Premier League Championship feat takes place before the July 21 friendly date since the coronation would have catered for the remainder of the home-match ban.
