KPFK News BREAKING: A crowd of about 1,000 protesters is rallying outside of LAPD headquarters in downtown LA to denounce this weeks fatal Officer Involved Shooting of Ezell Ford, a 25 year-old man with mental health issues who was unarmed but shot in the back. Organizers say the action is also in solidarity with Ferguson, Missouri where protests over the killing of 18 year-old Michael Brown have continued for over a week despite a city-wide curfew. The protests come a day after about 150 people marched through Hollywood to the CNN building at Sunset and Vine to express anger with the news outlets coverage of the Israeli-Palestine conflict. Organizers accuse CNN of a strong pro-Israel bias and of grossly biased reporting, as well as passing blatant lies as factual.
