KRUZ UPDATE!!! Kruz could easily be the poster child for why AAUPR will continue to advocate for the sick, the injured, the abused, the unloved, and the unwanted animals that flood animal control facilities throughout the state of Georgia. Like so many innocent puppies, Kruz found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even worse? He was SICK and in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sadly, many shelters will euthanize an animal immediately if it shows any sign of illness to avoid a larger possible outbreak. This leaves rescues like ours very little time to intervene, and is one of several reasons why Georgia maintains one of the highest kill rates in the nation for shelter animals.
