KTWUS SUNFLOWER JOURNEYS TRAVELS THE HIGHWAYS TO BRING KANSAS STORIES HOME TO VIEWERS — 27th Season Premiere Thursday, September 25, 2014 KTWUs SUNFLOWER JOURNEYS, Kansas longest running local history television program, premieres the 27th season with Sampling Kansas on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 7 p.m. on KTWU-HD, local public television, or online at watch.ktwu.org. The 27th season premiere episode opens with a visit to Wamego and the 25th annual gathering known as the Kansas Sampler Festival. Then its on to Osage City for Smoke in the Spring — the state BBQ championship. In the weekly profile segment, Plains People introduces Ron Lessman, the creator of Truckhenge, a unique display of old trucks and wood carvings in Shawnee County.
