The 27th season premiere episode opens with a visit to Wamego and the 25th annual gathering known as the Kansas Sampler Festival. Then its on to Osage City for Smoke in the Spring — the state BBQ championship. In the weekly profile segment, Plains People introduces Ron Lessman, the creator of Truckhenge, a unique display of old trucks and wood carvings in Shawnee County.
