KU students protest against Israeli aggression Srinagar, July 11: Students of Kashmir University Friday afternoon held protests against Israeli offensive in Gaza which has left at least 78 people, most of them civilians, dead so far. The students assembled outside the university Masjid (mosque immediately after the congregational prayers ended and shouted anti-Israel slogans. Down with Israel, they shouted. On Thursday morning, eight members of one family, including five children, were killed in a pre-dawn air strike by Israeli forces that razed to ground two homes in south of the Gaza strip, according to Palestinian officials. Demanding an end to what they called ‘massacre’ of Muslims in Gaza, the students criticized the silence of western powers at the aggression of the Jewish State. The students also raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The Israeli offensive began after a build-up in violence after three Jewish students were found dead in the Occupied West Bank and the death of a Palestinian youth in a revenge attack.
