KUDOs to our STAR volunteers: Our day of service last Saturday at Metropolitan Ministries was a very successful event! Attached is a picture of our awesome S.T.A.R. Volunteers! Additional pictures of our team at work are available on SharePoint. We had 29 volunteers represented by 20 employees, and logged 116 service hours… the equivalent of one full-time employee working for 3 weeks! We certainly lived our mission statement by: having a PASSION for helping others; demonstrating TEAMWORK by taking on any task asked of us; showing RESPECT for those in our community who are seriously disadvantaged. My sincere thanks to: Victoria Acevedo, Mary Ann Bergin, Miguel Cardi, Kundai Chibanguza, Cassie Colon, Debra Dalrymple, Hermelinda Doniaz, Robert Fitchett, Monroe Fauntleroy, Jessica Goodin, Jay Hawkins, Kathy Hoye, Sarah Marrero, Jennye Morano, Dannielle Repass, Lucy Rios, Katherine Salcedo, Sherrie Van Cleef, Alyssa Van Cleef (and their families and friends who joined us). As CEO of Hoyes Pharmacy, I couldnt be more proud of each of you for taking the time to give back. And a BIG thank you to Jennye for organizing the event. Great job by all! With the completion of the Hope Hall renovations, Metropolitan Ministries is now home to 100 formerly homeless families with an average of 3 children per family. That is approximately 300 infants, toddlers and school-age children being ministered to! The 2 over-loaded barrels of school supplies filled by your generosity went directly to these children and to helping to secure a brighter future for each of them! Here are some overall statistics that should warm your heart:
