KUNKEL PRAYER REQUESTS; 9 27/2013 TIM: -For development of KEY contacts made at the recent COICOM congress where about 1000 of the finest leaders from Baptist and GCC’s* networks met in Asuncion, from all over Paraguay, and Latin America, on the dates of Sept. 23-26... Pray for us as we DREAM BIG! for Paraguay, and the world, and put into practice KEY LESSONS learned at the conference. . -For the new church plants in Moras Que, Remansito, and Chaco-i. -Give thanks to the Lord, for the Strategic Alliance that is being finalized between a USA church in the Atlanta area, and an Asuncion church, to reach out to Chaco-i. This is a region, largely accessible only by river boats, and where about 22k people live stretching out up to the Argentine border. They has never been a Baptist church here; EVER. There is VERY LITTLE EVANGELICAL presence here. PLEASE ORAY FOR CHACO-I -For several diplomats from other nations, that are opening up to the Gospel, and coming to us for counseling and Bible studies. There is a REAL HUNGER in the EX-PAT community, for Christ. -For me as I train, vision cast, preach, mentor, do research, and mobilize weekly, in different Baptist and GCC* venues, throughout this great country! For a missions’ congress I will minister in in October in Encarnacion, of the Western border with Argentina. For my father Glenn. He is in his 80’s. (*GCC means “Great Commission Christians” , or people who want to share their faith and know Jesus is the only way to God...) IRACEMA: -For the volunteer work I do every Tuesday at a hospice for dying Cancer and AID’S patients. Almost every week I am able to share Christ, as the ONLY HOPE with several people. Several have made decisions for Christ and are now in heaven. At this hospice are people all the way up from kids, youth, and older people. -For M####. She has been bed-ridden now for 13! years. She can only move her neck. I visit her weekly; read the Bible to and for her, and pray with her. She has Multiple Sclerosis. She is in her mid 50’s. I am learning a LOT with her. -For the 11 university age girls, I am discipling. All of them want to be missionaries, either here in Paraguay, or outside of this nation. -For the two Bible studies I lead, one in my home; one in the home of a diplomat couple: in these I am leading these folks, in the first steps of the Christian faith, and also training them in Evangelism. I take a few of them about 2x per month to street witness and prayer walk, with me. -For our son Steven, who is 1/2 way into his second year of voluntary missionary service in Japan. For the Lord to continue to meet ALL HIS NEEDS. For those who support him in prayer to be faithful to uphold him before the Lord’s throne. -For our Son John Glenn and our daughter Julia; for them to draw ever close to the Lord, and do HIS will daily.
