KV Students must read......!!! 13 nostalgic experiences of people who studied at Kendriya Vidyalayas--- There are almost 1,100 Kendriya Vidyalayas spread across India. But, irrespective of the Vidyalaya you went to, you have had some very similar experiences across them. It is like standardisationof education, and that too a quality one! Here is a list of 13 unique experiences, that only an ex-student of KV would relate to – 1. Parroting out the morning prayer, without understanding one bit of what was being recited. Maybe the words “Daya kar daan vidya ka, hamein paramatma dena” have now become so much more beautiful and meaningful.. And sanskrit me to bus muh hilaate the ... Most of the students dont remember that.. 2. Believing for most part of the school years that SUPW meant Some Useful Periods Wasted Or maybe in some cases, this indeed was true Unless the proactive students were able to do Point no. 3 in case of SUPW periods as well! 3. Pleading with teachers and converting all Arrangement periods into a Games periods.. Sabse pehle yahi check karte the ki aaj kaun kaun sa teacher absent h and kiska arrangement laga h.. 4. Coming up with various reasons to the class monitor for skipping the morning assembly. After all, the accomplishment of bunking the 30 minutes morning assembly under the sun, to relax under the fan inside the classroom, gave such a big high! And Sabse jyada faayda to is cheez ka batch holders uthate the.. 5. After reaching class IX, making sure your morning pledge was “conditional”. Ahem….! ... All Indians are my brothers and sisters except..... and ...... ..... Hum me se kuch to ise skip hi kar dete the.. 6. Before the Gryffindors and Slytherins of Hogwarts, the competition was between the biggest STARs of town. Oh yes, their own Harry Potter story was right there, and it was fun beating the other houses.. Dusri House se aage nikalne me koi kasar nhi chorte the.. 7. Forgetting to wear the white canvas shoes on Wednesdays and getting punishment from the “PT”. Sir And how many times did you rub white chalk on the dirty shoes to make them ‘whiter’!? 8. Becoming your teachers best pal when the “inspection” was on, giving out all the ‘right’ answers. And of course, ensuring the classwork notebook was all complete, corrected and signed ! 9. Coming up with new variants of Yog asanas during the Yoga Period. 10. Distributing toffees on birthdays and treating close friends with bread-pakoras at the canteen Or samosas!? 11. Bursting fire-crackers in the boys toilets during Diwali time without getting caught. Its coming up ahead get ready to fire some in your KV.. 12. Celebrating the last working day of every month almost as a Holiday 13. Fighting it out for your Vidyalaya in various Inter-KV competitions and treating the trophy no less than Olympic Gold. The thing is, if you had studied at any Kendriya Vidyalaya, you now realise how important those years at school were in making you reach where you are today. It is a no brainier, that with such low fees, amazing infrastructure, dedicated teachers and of course, diligent students, KVs offer the biggest Return on Investment in the education sector ! And above all u have got best buddies from all over India.....!!! ***Thanks to Dibyank Kshitij who sent me this wonderful msg.....!!!***
