KWENTONG AUDAX! The Story Behind our Epic Journey 04.07.2014 (Friday) 19:00hrs TSP contingent meet at Mango Valley hotel for AUDAX Registration (12 TSP riders join this ride), after that we went to Olongapo and take our dinner around 8:00pm then go to my small rented apartment to relaxed, we start preparing our riding gear, foods, hydration and some of us start telling stories, joking each other then about 11:00pm we decided to have a rest & sleep,,,,,but most of us couldnt sleep maybe because of excitement (excited much???) tsaka my malakas humilik,,akala ko nsa Planta ako at my umaandar na Generator, Ra-Cell & Nino just talking each other stories ayaw nrin matulog,,, 05.07.2014 i decided to get-up 1:00am to cooked some boiled egg & prepare for small breakfast to share w/ the team (Boiled egg, Bread, Banana, Coffee).. we went to starting point (Mango Valley) around 2:20am but on the way to Mango Valley, 1 rider (Eton G Villanueva) got flat rear tire(napatingin kc sa malinaw) ..AUDAX participants Ride out exactly 03:00am...then our Journey begins.......after Subic Town we form a peleton consist of 9 riders running 25KPH, then we increased going up to 27-28-30KPH (Karga Pa!!!, RA-Cell Malubay), it was to dark on the road heading to town of San Felipe - Cabangan...when i suffered rear flat tire along 46km (San Felipe) because of pot holes (Malas naman!), we quickly fixed w/ assistance of Ra-Cell..We arrive Cabangan 50km Check-point around 5:11am & 5:24am respectively, we hydrate & eat something to recharge ourself for the next leg. Were approaching the town of IBA Zambales when heavy downpour starts, everybody put raincoat, one of the happiest & funny moments we had is along Govic H-way (shortcut/IBA), with heavy rain and we are all LAUGHING & SHOUTING BIKE PA!...were like little kids...we pedalled along IBA to Masinloc running 23KPH but sometime we increase to 25-27KPH (Karga pa!)....palitan nlang sa unahan (RL) then without dismouth we conquer the Palauig Uphill..sabay pa picture sa taas!! TD Masinloc 100km mark 8:33am. Another trouble again this time is AMOR Ei Brav,,,suffering tire problem that need to change including the Tire,,(Bumili pa sa Bayan ng Masinloc ng gulong for BMX), we stay there for an hour when we finally decided to go first...(umaaraw mula Masinloc - Pangasinan), also thanks to Santa Cruz Cruisers, sinalubong nila kami sa Sta Cruz Zambales & for the warm welcome to their hometown, that also give us a moral boster...(poor road condition along Sta Cruz with potholes, rough road & muddy) arrive at Dasol Pangasinan 150km Check-point around12:11pm, we shared our food for lunch (parang Family Outing ang nangyari, ang SAYA!!), enjoy the view, sea side, fresh air!! We ride out 1:30pm (medyo late na kasi napasarap at napa-idlip ung iba), were along Infanta (w/ Giovanni Perez & Abner Sapien) when strong headwind starts, im pushing hard to reach 23-25KPH atleast but only manage 20KPH, we arrive in Masinloc 3:54pm just enough to bet the Cut-off time(4:02pm).. We re-group for the last 100km (only 7 riders left) but this time we have to climb the most stiff/difficult zigzag uphill of Masinloc/Palauig...this is the most crucial for us & we decided to RUN on our own Pace!..when were (w/ Abner Sapien) along Bagsit River/Bridge IBA Zambales heavy rain starts, it was too dark on the road (zero visibility), we cannot do anything but to continue pedal (heavy rain, zero visibility, rough road, pot holes)..we arrive Cabangan 250KM Check point 7:40pm. We continue to pedal the last 50km running 18-20KPH but with our body slowly slowly getting wasted maybe because of the weather (Ulan-Araw-Ulan) also suffering from leg paint (legaments), chest paint. We decided to take our dinner somewhere in San Felipe just to recharge then we continue to finish our Epic Journey going back to Subic Bay..TD 11:45pm! Again, first and foremost we thank you to our lord god almighty that he guide & keep us safe to finish our Epic Journey....to all TSPeeps harkors who join the ride thank you very much, we really show our camaraderie, we survive the hardest battle out there.....Small Wheels...Big Heart....PUSO!!! The Ghost Rider,
