KYOTO PROTOCOL (KC) : kyoto protocol was adopted in kyoto city of japan on 11 dec 1997. But due to the complex ratification process, it came into force on 16 ferbuary 2005. KC is an international treaty made by UNFCCC(united nation framework convention on climate change) to bind some nations in their commitments to control the emmission of green house gases. It set binding emmision reduction target for 37 industrilised countries and European nations in its first commitment period. These targets add up to an average of 5% emmission reduction from 2008-2012. Means 2008-2012 was its first commitment period. Kyoto protocol was structured on the principle of UNFCCC. Developed countries are much responsible for green house gases emmission. In Doha (capital of Qatar), on 8 dec 2012, doha amendment to kyoto protocol was adopted.
