Kabir News Dozens of activists established the first political party named “Animal Party” in Turkey in an effort to bring the issue of the protection of animal’s rights and welfare to the political table . This is the first animal party in Turkey , however in another countries such as Netherlands animal parties have great impression since they have 2 seats in parliament . Neslihan Demir , one of the party member , said the intention of this party is to to protect the welfare of animals . Demir said the members of the new party are aware that they face an uphill battle with regard to convincing many of the need for such a party but noted that honoring the rights of animals has historically been viewed as important in Turkey . This new party will start the first “Dog” conference in Istanbul tomorrow .
