Kaimenyi, you dont run away from problems if you want to overcome the same problems...dont say that the schools which are ranked last almost every year will feel that they belong there if schools ranking is going to exist..its all about you as the ministry to come up with ways that can help the said school to come out of the last ranking trap...dont say that the ranking of schools is unfair to the teacher verse student ratio discrepancy i.e that the schools with enough teachers will be fortunate and the schools with less that the expected teachers will be unfortunate..remember it is your responsibility to ensure that the teacher-student ratio is enough in public schools and if not so as it has been witnessed in various public schools, its because of the ministry not ensuring that the problem is put to rest..now the public teachers are yet to go on strike, this will have an impact on the schools affect. At the same time, you dont want to be known that the performance of the public schools went down because teacher were fighting for their rights which has been peddled years and years without any significant amicable solution achieved between them and the government! ..give credit to private school which pay their dues and the pupils are getting their best performance and they need to be appreciated. This appreciation will be achieved by ranking them the best and they need to do even better... The point is this, I go to school with my friends and all dont produce the same results, the best performed student/pupil will be a motivational to the rest coming after them. Where will this motivation be realized if the ministry abolishes the ranking system..and the ministry as well need to know the attempt of cheating in an exam will not be eradicated by the removal of ranking scheme system.. Its all about you guys to strengthen your transparencies and encourage stiff competition countrywide and globally..
