Kaindu happy with Canadian pair Tuesday, 04 February 2014 HIGHLANDERS’ Canadian imports Jean-Felix Lemieux and Phillippe Barriaut have impressed coach Kelvin Kaindu. Kaindu had looked at most of the players on trials at the weekend and was not disappointed. “The boys are good. We just have to fine tune a few things. The rest of the guys are showing great enthusiasm, some have to regain fitness though. Jean- Félix Lemieux is a goalkeeper while Philippe Barriault plays as a striker. The pair’s move to Highlanders was facilated by Canadian-based First Mobile Sports Academy director Isaac Mbedzi. Meanwhile the club could soon lose midfield star player Peter ‘Rio’ Moyo who had a good CHAN tournament with the Warriors. South African Absa Premiership clubs Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu are in hot pursuit for Moyo’s signature. The midfielder was counted as one the best performers at the just ended Chan tournament. He was the man on the match when Zimbabwe beat Burkina Faso 1-0 in their group B encounter. Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu are to have sat with Moyo but yet to meet his manager Amin Soma Phiri. Soma Phiri is also the owner of football club Luveve Big Eleven which loaned out Moyo to Highlanders in 2012. Although Soma Phiri could neither deny or confirm this, Soccer24 is reliably informed that the midfielder will be plying his trade in SA soon. Moyo has received rave reviews from Player agents such Ralph Nkomo and George Deda were have said the player is talented and has a bright future. Soccer24
