Kaizer Chiefs Matthew Rusike CAF Champions League Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Matthew Rusike, has warned his team about being ‘lazy’ going into this weekend’s CAF Champions League first round second leg. The Amakhosi travel to Maputo this weekend to face Mozambican side, Liga Muculmana, after claiming a 4-0 victory in the home leg at Moses Mabhida Stadium last weekend. Rusike, the scorer of the third goal in that game, could be set for a start in Mozambique on Saturday, and has urged his teammates to stay focused and not risk giving away their four-goal cushion. Speaking to Chiefs official website, he said, We cannot afford to go to Mozambique with a lazy attitude. Strange things have happened in football, you can lose a four-goal lead. We need to stay true to ourselves, work hard and get the result. The mood in the camp is high. There is a strong willingness to think collectively and over and above the culture of champions that has seen us move from strength to strength this season.” The game at Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto National Stadium in Maputo will begin at 18h00 on Saturday.
