Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, George Lebese, has vowed that he and his teammates are determined to defend the Gauteng Football Cup on Sunday, 21 July 2013 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Tshwane. The Glamour Boys, the reigning Champions of the annual Gauteng Football Cup will meet the winner between University of Pretoria and Bloemfontein Celtic. Lebese said it was important for the Glamour Boys to defend the trophy they won in 2012; "We are looking forward to come up against any of the two sides. They are both good teams. Celtic will come at us with all guns blazing after we beat them back to back last season on our way to win the double. We also conquered them in their own backyard last season after failing to achieve that for quite some time. Tuks (University of Pretoria) always give us problems and they beat us the last time we met, in the last game of the 2012-13 PSL season. On Sunday it will be a different ball game. We want to start on a high note and it does not get better than defending our Cup. Lebese looked sharp in a practice match against BidVest Wits midweek, "I would love to contribute more to the success of the team this season by scoring more goals. It all starts at training and I have been training well since we reported for camp. The spirit in the group is as high as ever and we are all hungry to bring more success to the Club," added Lebese. Bloemfontein Celtic v TUKS game will start at 10:00 and the winner will face Kaizer Chiefs in the final at 15:00. Loftus Versfeld gates will be opened at 09:00, Chomee and Dr Malinga will entertain the fans with their popular dance moves. Tickets are on sale at Computicket nationwide for R35.. *source Kick-Off* #G Nee Just..
