Kami decided not to fly anywhere this time. She didn’t want to go through anywhere with nothing but a lamp. She checked into a hotel, normally she wouldn’t but she had no were to go, she smiled at the man behind the counter human would have been her first guess, she asked where the nearest store was. He told me there was a Wal-Mart down the road, perfect for what she needed. She smiled taking her room key, she slid it into her pocket before starting her walk down the road to the store. Kami walked past a little dinner, when she did her stomach growled loud. She hadn’t eaten today and she knew she needed it or she would be weak, and she needed all the energy she could get after her little fight with Owen earlier. Sighing she turned around walking inside the dinner. She slid into the booth into the back, with her back against the wall. Ordering a Dr.Pepper, cheese burger and fries, she knew it wasn’t the healthiest meal but it tasted good. She smiled at the pretty little waitress, who looked very over worked and tired. The marker stain on her white shirt suggest a little one at home. Kami didn’t have any more time to think about her though, her mind started filling with her past. Her mistakes, to many to count. She was in trouble if he found her again, he could pull her into a war that she wasn’t in. He could get her caught and her put back in her lamp, and she would be damned if she would let that happen. She needed to stay clear of him, stay low and alone. It was the best way she knew to stay safe, if no one could get close to her no one could trap her or hurt her. Kami started to think about her sister but her thoughts stopped in their tracks when the waitress set her plate her in front of her. Her stomach growled when she smelled it, and she started eating her thoughts started to wonder once again. She wondered how Owen found her so fast, she had to stay ahead of him if she didn’t it could cost her more than she wanted to lose. Once she finished she put her money on the table with a very good tip for the waitress. Kami thought she would need it more than her. She started her walk once again to the store up a head, with one thought on her mind. Hair dye, she had to change she wasn’t going to leave the city then she at least had to change the way she looked. Owen always loved her dark hair, and so had she but it was time for her to change. Everything else was, why couldn’t she?..
