Kami sa BRIGADA OP 20I6 ay naniniwala na dapat mabigyan ng chance ang I987 Konstitusyon to work and succeed. Kaya nga po, aming panukala na iwasto ang 5 FACTUALLY erroneous provisions nito. Sa ganoon strategy ay mabibigyan ito ng improvement at bagong lakas sa pamamagitan ng RE-RATIFICATION nito dahil this Constitution has been subjected to so much bullyings and beatings by all Presidents after Cory; consider these facts: 1. FVR- 27% plurality President: had his PIRMA in I997 for term extension; 2. ERAP- 40% plurality President: had his CONCORD to amend the economic provisions allowing I00% foreign ownership of lands; 3. GMA - 33% plurality President: had her SIGAW NG BAYAN to lift term limits, to amend economic provisions and shift to parliamentary system; 4. PNOY -36% plurality President: now want 2nd term extension and restrain judicial overreach. Here is the list of those 5 FACTUALLY erroneous provisions BRIGADA OP 20I6 wants to correct: I. Sec. I; Art. XVI - omits the flags 4th color yellow in describing our flag; 2. Sec. 2; Art. XVI - admits flaw or defect in our countrys name, national anthem & national seal; 3. Sec. 4c; Art. VII -permits the VP to stay in office for as long as I0 years or 4 years longer than the regularly-elected President; 4. Par. 5; Sec.4; Art. VII - allows mere plurality presidency in violation of the the Majority Rule principle in a republican democracy like ours; 5. Sec. I.I; Art. XVII - for ambiguity that may allow the Lower House to convene itself into CONASS with Senates 3/4 separate vote. With these FACTUALLY erroneous provisions corrected, we shall have a re-furbished and re-energized I987 Constitution fit for the 6th Philippine Republic.
