The 31 of May 2013 around 1.30 pm (local time in Turkey), Lobna got a gas canister on her head, that the police fired, as she was sitting and listening to a speech about Gezi Park at the Taksim square in Istanbul... Lobna had just brought good intentions with her when she attend the peaceful demonstrations, she just wanted to show her support to the city she lived in for 6 years and save one of the few green areas in the heart of the city. She got rewarded with a teargas bomb! Lobna is now diagnosed with Conduction Aphasia Syndrome and has lost strength on the whole right part of her body, as the gas canister damaged the left brain hemisphere, that controls all the movements on the right part of our body.
